Description

The universe seems to be conspiring to keep me from astronomy related activities over the last several weeks but I managed to get one completed and processed. I actually ended up collecting a lot more data here than intended because I lacked the time to do  more than just start the existing script. So I'm counting that as a happy accident. I'm not sure that made much practical difference on a bright target like this but it definitely didn't hurt.

Here's how it was processed:

each S, H and O:
dynamic crop
GHS script
starXterminator (extracting unscreened stars)
histogram transformation (to stretch out the dynamic range occupied)
noiseXterminator

stars:
channel combination
histogram transformation to line up peaks
histogram transformation to reduce exposure

SHO:
channel combination
histogram transformation to line up peaks
HDRMT
LHE (2 scales)
SCNR (to tone down the green)
MLT sharpening
moved into photoshop to use content aware fill on a starXtermnator artifact
pixel math in stars (op_screen)
